Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants who are willing to apply for these posts in School Education Department should fulfill the below mentioned eligibility conditions:

For Junior Assistant:

1. Candidate is required to be graduated from any recognized university with knowledge of type writing having not less than 35 words speed per minute and six months certificate course in computer from a recognized institute. 2. It is further clarified that graduation herein means graduation having minimum three years duration obtained after Senior Secondary School. Further, those candidates possessing 05 year’s Integrated PG degree after Sr. Secondary School are also eligible to apply. 3. It is further clarified that candidate having degrees like BCA, BCS, BCM, BE/B.Tech (computer/ IT), MCA, MCS, MCM, BSc (IT), MSc (IT), ME/M.Tech (computer/ IT) or BSc (with computer as a subject) are not required to possess the six months certificate course in computer from a recognized institute. 4. There shall be no interview/viva for these posts. Candidates shall be selected on the basis of merit obtained in type test (having 60 points weightage) and a multiple choice based written test (having 40 points weightage). 5. There shall be negative marking in Multiple Choice Based written test. 6. Candidates will have to necessarily obtain type speed of atleast 35 words with accuracy of atleast 90% to be eligible for selection. 7. Any other clarification, if needed, will be given subsequently.

For Laboratory Assistant:

1. Candidate is required to be 10+2 with science or equivalent from any
recognized University/Board.
2. There shall be no interview/viva for these posts. Candidates shall be
selected on the basis of merit obtained in the multiple choice based
written test, having negative marking for wrong answers.
3. Any other clarification, if needed, will be given subsequently.

For Library Assistant:

1. Candidate is required to be graduated from any recognized University
with degree/diploma in Library Science.
2. It is further clarified that graduation herein means graduation having

If you think, that 2017 is good year, as far as new openings are concerned, then you are wrong, this year saw quite lesser recruitments as compared to previous years, and the Graph of Recruitment agencies has stooped on the lower side too, with JKSSB just announced One Recruitment Notification in 2017 and that too for 135 posts.


However, there are some departments, that have been announcing the Recruitment's on their own Like the J&K Excise Department announced 267 Class IVth Jobs in 2017 and Now Today, we have some attractive vacancies announced by JAKEDA. We cannot say that this JAKEDA recruitment 2017 will full fill the vacuum created by the non-announcement of posts by Recruitment agencies, however, it will surely help those seeking specialized Jobs in this Department.



Though the No. of vacancies is not very much impressive, still it is a ray of hope for the unemployed youth of J&K. The posts are particularly meant for Engineering Graduates and Simple Graduates.
